Prof. Samuel Afrane – Board Chairman
Prof. Samuel Afrane is currently the Provost of College of Arts and Social Sciences, KNUST. He is an experienced development planner, a consultant and a micro-finance expert. He has considerable research, teaching and consultancy experience in Strategic
Planning, Institutional Planning and Management, Investments and
Microfinance Issues, Project Monitoring and Evaluation.
Prof. Afrane has been involved in a number of research and training projects in countries such as South Africa, Bolivia, Gambia, Uganda and Malawi. He has served as a consultant to many local and international agencies including the World Bank, UNDP, ILO, Australia Agency for International Development, World Vision International, USAID, IFAD, ECLOF-Geneva, DFID etc. He is a member of many institutional boards and Committees and is also credited with many research publications and consultancy reports.
Dr. Philip Y. Amakye (Executive Director, Finance)
Dr. Amakye works with NGIS as an Executive Director in charge of Finance. Among other qualifications, he holds an MSc in Finance & Investment from South Bank University, London; BSc (Hons) Economics & Business Finance from Brunel University (UK), Graduate diploma in Management (iPMA) U.K. He is a Chartered Management consultant (CMC), Certified Professional Financial Manager (CPFM) London, and holds Fellowship from Design, Technology and Management Society International (FDTDMS), and Institute of Professional Financial Managers (iPMA) U.K.
He has International working exposure in Banking, Finance & Investment at Hewitt Group, Midland Bank now HSBC and D&G Plc all in the U.K. He is currently the Executive Director of OAA Consulting Ltd. He holds Directorship at Asante Akyem Rural Bank Ltd and Brosa Mineral Resource Ltd. He is the immediate past CEO of First Allied Savings & Loans Ltd.
Mr. Robert Amo-Cobbia (General Manager)Mr Amo-Cobbia is the General Manager of NGIS. He holds an MBA in Banking and Finance. He is a well qualified and experienced banking professional with over ten years experience in almost all aspects of universal banking practice.
Prior to joining NGIS, he worked as Deputy CEO of Amantin Community Rural Bank Limited during which he introduced a number of innovative banking products that transformed the agribusiness sector in the bank’s operational districts.
Mr. Enoch Baah (Director)
Enoch Baah holds an MBA in Banking and Finance from Paris Graduate School of Management (PGSM), France. He is currently pursuing the final part examinations of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICA Ghana). He has worked with Akuafo Adamfo Marketing Company Ltd., a Licensed Cocoa Buying Company, from October 2001 to date in the capacities of Operational Accountant, Chief Operational Accountant and Special Assistant to the Managing Director. He is currently serving as a Director of Enjelbaah Company Ltd. and Fourteen Stars Ltd.
Mr. Emmanuel Adjei (Director)
Mr. Emmanuel Adjei is a business development consultant. He holds a B.Sc. in Engineering from KNUST, Masters in Metals and Materials Engineering form Univ. of British Columbia (1989) and an MBA from University of British Columbia. He also holds a postgraduate degree in Project Cycle Management from Maastricht University.
Emmanuel has worked for various organizations including Gratis Foundation, Empretec Foundation, Technoserve and Prudential Bank.
Mrs. Mavis Twumasi Mensah (Director) Mr. Richard Prosper Asiedu - Director Mr. Richard Prosper Asiedu holds an MBA in Financial Management from the St. Clements University, United Kingdom, Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the International Professional Managers Association (iPMA), United Kingdom ,Graduate. Diploma in Management (iPMA, UK) and another Graduate Diploma in Management from the Institute of Commercial Management (ICM, UK). He also holds an Intermediate certificate in accountancy from the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana and a part two holder of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, Ghana. Asiedu is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC), a Certified International Professional Manager (CIPM), iPMA, UK and an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Administration and Management Consultants, Ghana. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Professional Financial Managers UK, The Institute of Management Specialist, UK, Design Technology and Management Society South Africa, Guild of Industrial Commerce and Institutional Accountants, Canada the International Benevolent Research Forum, India. He is currently the General Manager of Otuasekan Rural Bank Limited.
